Aethan Music is a record producer from Kampala, Uganda. He learned his production skills on a laptop after picking interest in the craft and his debut was in 2008 when he produced “I’m So UG” for Ugandan rapper The Mith. He would later work with other Ugandan acts like Eddy Kenzo, Navio. Sighting influences from the likes of Kanye West, Just Blaze, and notably among other legendary local music producers; Alex Mukulu, Richard Kawesa, he developed a technic of fusing and sampling different sounds to create music for the urban audience.
His works are greatly fueled by the effect of cultural relativism that’s wide spread across the African continent, and has enabled him to work with artists like “Burna Boy” from Nigeria, “Vanessa Mdee” from Tanzania among others, also considering the impact of the African sound on the global music scene.Read More
